Some Of My Favorite Addison Oaks Wedding Photography. Chosen As One Of
Addison Oaks - Buhl Estate's Favorite Recommended Wedding Photographers
Katie and Ross's had their wwedding and their wedding reception in Leonard, Michigan at the always wonderful Addison Oaks County Park. This is one of my favorite locations to photograph since it always looks great no matter the season, the food is fantastic and the staff is wonderful. They've also remodeled a bit since these photos were taken. This sweet, young couple tells a traditional story of love, happiness, fun and a bit of the nerves kicking in too! I think their joy and playfulness come bursting through in so many of these photojournalist wedding photos. This is where you can see the hybrid between posing, creativity, playing with a couple and their wedding party and capturing all those candid, photojournalistic moments.
I am thrilled to be on Addison Oak's Buhl Estate's (try saying THAT three times fast!) recommended wedding photographers. I've been there many times and love how much the place has to offer no matter the season. I love the staff, their elegant, yes chill vibe as well as their amazing food. My very favorite wedding venues to work at are ones that offer a huge variety of different "scenes", have a staff where we can all work together as a well oiled and supportive team and where we can all make any couple's wedding day experience top notch. This Michigan wedding venue sets the bar pretty high for itself and it always blows couple away by sailing over that already high bar. I've also heard several times from couples that Addison Oaks has by far the best bang for the buck. It may be a little out of the way (Rochester is about 20 minutes away for the nearest hotels), but it feels cozy and expansive at the same time. It reminds me a lot of Meadowbrook Hall and the Henry Ford Estates.

Katie and Ross are a playful, sweet couple. It was hard to go wrong on this overcast day. Perhaps the only thing causing anxiety was the weather and potential rain, but we got everything in ahead of time. Again, this is a couple who chose to have a first look so we could get all their Addison Oaks wedding photos out of the way before the ceremony. Since their wedding reception and wedding were in the same location, many couple opt to be able to walk down their aisle and start playing with their guests and enjoying their wedding day and cocktail hour instead of disappearing for a while between the two parts of the day.
In our case, we also had the option that if there was a rain delay for either the wedding or all the family photos we'd planned to do, we did have another shot at it later in the day. Katie and Ross provided plenty of opportunities for me to capture full, photojournalistic wedding photography moments and for some fun, interesting wedding portraits. They expressed interest in getting some outdoor pictures around the ground of Addison Oaks once it was dark (there is about a 12 minute time between dark and darkness that's hard to keep track of as a wedding photographer, but really pays off if you can do it), so you'll see those as well. Enjoy my candid, fun photos from this Addison Oaks wedding in Leonard, Michigan.
