As a Metro Detroit based wedding photographer, I've earned the rare distinction of having won 15 years of "couple's choice" awards from the Knot. This means a lot to me because it's my couples who have elevated me to for this award. What comments appear often in their reviews of my wedding photography work? That I'm omnipresent, an expert in wedding photography, they love the candid and photojournalist style of photography, they found me to be very affordable, super experienced, calming and helpful, on time (this one is odd, I mean, why wouldn't your photographer be on time!?), got photos back earlier than expected and that their guests, wedding party and family all commented that they couldn't believe that I was everywhere and working so hard to capture everything.

Now, if you're wondering about my career as a children's author and photo illustrator, I was extremely lucky to have my submission picked off the enormous slush pile. The Penguin Group's imprint, Dial Books For Young Readers" picked up my first book, "Big Sister, Little Sister" as well as "I Was So Silly" and "Big Brother, Little Brother". Then Dolly Parton got involved and selected two of my books for her amazing Imagination Library! I love what she's done for our family, but more importantly, what she's done for early literacy and access to books for youngsters everywhere.
