Welcome to the world, baby HH! One of the true perks of being a wedding photographer based in Metro Detroit is that I get to take photos of all my clients again with their newborn babies. In HH’s case, he was a preemie (by a month), so his photographer shoot was delayed just a bit until he was three weeks old. Is there anything different or challenging about taking Detroit preemie baby photos? Well, no. Every infant baby photography session is conducted with extreme care to germs,providing extra warmth, making small, calm movements and with safety in mind at all times.

Sometimes my favorite baby photos aren’t taken in the studio at all, but while the baby’s needs are being tended to.

Baby HH is happy, healthy and for his photo shoot he was also very, very sleepy! As you’ve seen from most of my other baby photography shoots, most of the newborns I photograph are wide awake! This was the first time in years I’ve had an infant actually sleep for the majority of the photography session. Is it because he was a preemie? Maybe. But more likely, he takes after his incredibly mellow parents!
