Detroit Zoo Wedding Photography
Kristen & Mike had another potentially nail biting weather issue, but the rain and freezing temps held off until after their Detroit Zoo wedding. She’d already decided to not try to take wedding photos at the Detroit Zoo, but to stay at the Butterfly Enclosure where their wedding ceremony was held. Just as well, since the weather was definitely NOT cooperating! I just love how go-with-the-flow my wedding couples are. I don’t think we’ve had a decent or seasonally corrected Saturday yet this year and every single one of my couples has shrugged and been happy to get ANY photos outside. Love them and their attitudes. Since nobody can control what’s going to happen outside, they just hunker down and have a great time.
The Detroit Zoo is always an interesting choice for a wedding venue. One of the many things it has to offer is things for guests to do outside of the zoo area. If they arrive early, they can look around. The Detroit zoo is not a large zoo and easily walkable. While I have yet to have a wedding couple choose to go around the zoo for their wedding photos, it does offer a nice, warm spot in the butterfly house for winter wedding and for those wedding couples worried about the weather.
There is also something pretty exotic about having Detroit Zoo Wedding photography. Pretty much nothing the couple can do can upstage the incredible venue, so feel free to play to your heart’s content.
