Rachel started her senior picture session at Cranbrook Kingswood High School in Bloomfield Hills at the iconic Cranbrook Art Museum. We started with one of their statues.

Even though I only had Rachel spin around 5 times, I couldn't pick a favorite. She looked beautiful in every single one that wasn't too blurry to use.

We ended our session at the nearby boat launch where Rachel rows crew for Cranbrook.

The best way to get a photo of a scull in the water being rowed ( like this one at Cranbrook Kingswood High School in Bloomfield Hills) is to set you precious light in the water and climb into the water with your priceless camera!

I maneuvered the scull just enough to get Rachel's reflection on the length of the boat for this unique crew senior photo.

Here are just a few of my favorite photos from Rachel's extra long senior session.



Rachel has a TON of activities, sports, interests and hobbies. She wanted to have all of her plethora of interests photographed at her beloved high school, Cranbrook Kingswood.

This "Hogwarts of Michigan" school campus always lends itself to amazing photos.

I only photograph seniors attending Cranbook for sessions on their campus as is their very strict policy. Although photographers love coming here and seniors beg for access, they aren't paying the tuition that goes hand in hand with the gorgeous campus. Put it this way. What public school lets people roam all over taking photos? Not a single one! So don't expect this private school to do it.

Back to Rachel (and her Mom who was a super helpful schlepper). RachelLOVED her blue dress and spent the majority of her time in it. It turns out it was great for showcasing her senior talents of dancing, cross country and violin playing skills. After a couple of quick changes and more senior pics, we headed off to the nearby crew team's scull shed. Rachel quickly got the boat in the water and before you knew it, I decided I needed my light in the water and that I should be in there too with my precious camera. To get cool, unique and flattering high school senior pictures of a very long scull boat with a tiny, beautiful senior meant a lot of bending and being open to a lot of trial and error.

Rachel was such a trooper and I truly don't know who had more fun… Rachel or me!
