Even though Troy, Michigan is the home of the Somerset Mall and lots and lots of cement, there are still nice, rural pockets where I can get some amazingly rural senior and family photos. I love this location for its expansive vistas and myriad of cool backgrounds. It has stone, wood, peeling barns, cool fields, lots of green and apparently freakishly dramatic skies. This being said, a lot of what this location has to offer is natural and is degrading quickly, so not all the cool things you see here are still there.


No don't get me wrong... I have photographed senior sessions at this location when it hasn't looked light the sky is going to dump buckets on the senior I'm shooting, but I must admit... this happens A LOT! While it freaks my seniors out a bit with all the threatening weather, can you imagine a more powerful, unique senior portrait? Few of my other senior locations in Metro Detroit offer such fun and creative options. This place rocks and it's actually in Troy, Michigan!


There are also a few sneaky places we can quickly get to that make this a perfect location if you're looking for a 2 hour session in the Troy, Michigan area.
