Welcome to a page of older, early Marci Curtis Photography's work with high school seniors. I created these slideshows a long time ago, but since so many of these seniors are lifelong friends and now adults I respect, I thought I'd show you some of my early work and so see how far I've come. These slideshow represent 4 different years. I've photographed some of these former high school senior client's weddings all over Michigan. These are the years I became obsessed with high school students. 17 and 18 year olds are sublimely interesting and complex people. They are so open so on the cusp of leaving the family nest and ready to try out their newly minted "adult" personalities on me.
I've seen quiet and shy seniors blossom before my eyes as the session goes on. Introverts soon learn that I'm down for anything, that I'm not there to embarrass them and that there is nothing normal about getting your photos taken. We experiment together and have a blast. Over the years, taking high school senior pictures has become my passion. I adore meeting these "kids" and learning from them. Not a singe session passes without me coming away feeling renewed, revitalized and so thankful we're leaving this planet to such good stewards.
