Marci is SO amazing! She photographed my sister’s wedding a few years ago, and we knew we needed her at our wedding, too! She is so much fun to work with, and knows so much about weddings in general, that she is not only an amazing photographer and artist, but also a fantastic resource! She took so many pictures and had so many amazing and creative ideas on the fly, as well as just being fun! After she packed up for the night, she joined us on the dance floor for a dance which was just so fun, too! We got our pictures less than a week after the wedding, which is an amazing turnaround, and they look wonderful! We especially loved that we didn’t just get photos of us and our party, but she got at least a couple pictures (and good ones) of every single guest. Marci is an amazing photographer and person and we are so happy to have had her there for our special day! If you're looking for well rounded coverage of your wedding, I've got you covered (pun intended).
Sure, most of my coverage is of the couple getting married, but all those behind the scenes antics that go on with friends, family and your wedding party (often behind the couple's back) help round out the story of the actual wedding day in the Detroit, Michigan area.
There has been a wedding trend for a few years to have either no wedding party or just a friend or sibling stand up with the couple, so I also make sure the family members are included in photos too, or at least those the couple deem super important to them.
Pretty quickly astute wedding helpers (wedding party or family members of both) start to realize that I am not just taking photos of the brides and grooms. I seamlessly blend in and they start treating me like the team member I am. They put me to work when they have questions and needs and I'm happy to juggle the roles of photographer/time keeper/emergency kit provider/bustle fixer/hair trimmer and on and on it goes all while I'm happily taking photos.
I've seen wedding party members cry, get sick, start fights, get too involved, slack off with their duties, but most of all they just have so much damn fun and fun people make for silly and fun photos.
Here's a gallery of weddings all over showcasing their spontaneous fun, tears and all out wackiness. You'll also notice some strange "poses". After I photograph the normal, safe poses, I always ask the wedding party what they'd like to do and what glues them together. It's always hilarious to see what they come up with and it often warps into some fantastic candid wedding party photos and their reactions to their triumphs and epic failures. Both are equally great photos.

Marci is both incredibly talented and super fun to work with. She was always very responsive and professional, and overall was just a joy to work with. She has a true eye for her craft and that can sometimes be rare in the wedding business. Our pictures turned out AMAZING. She managed to capture US but like the very best versions of us. We also received our pictures super fast! We were still on our honeymoon when they came in. I have heard horror stories of other brides waiting months, or sometimes never getting them at all. Marci met every deadline she committed to, and we never had to pester her for anything. She also gets very big bonus points for successfully managing a group of slightly intoxicated groomsmen. 100% recommend Marci! :)
