Absolutely Incredible! We Are Extremely Satisfied; and Highly Recommend!

My Husband and I are so happy that we chose to have Marci Curtis photograph our wedding and reception. She was so invested in every moment, paying attention to every little detail; so much so that she was able to explain what exactly was happening at the precise moments of the pictures she captured. We couldn’t be more grateful. Not only did she photograph the most beautiful pictures of us, she also captured moments of all our guests that we didn’t get to see. Marci is extremely professional, and timely as well. She literally was the best!

Ever Wonder What Your Wedding Guests Do During Weddings?

Here's a trick I learned early on in my wedding photography career. Photographers don't take many photos of the guests, but they are reason the couple doesn't elope, right? These days couples put a LOT of effort into creating a wedding day that prioritizes guest experiences. So of course, that means I want photos of the guests having a blast at your wedding in the Metro Detroit, Michigan area.

Wedding guests aren't just bystanders at weddings. They laugh, clap, sob, dance like their lives depend on it. They also yawn when the unexpected parent pulls out a 10 page speech delaying dinner by half an hour.

So many of the wedding day stories revolve around what your guests are doing and them interacting with you. They set the mood on the dance floor. They're the ones that start doing the "alligator" on the dance floor.

Photographing weddings is almost like photographing a play unfolding where some people have a script and others are just winging it. That leaves a LOT of room for guests to do silly and weird things. Also, when you add in alcohol it often gets rowdier than you may have been expecting. I love photographing all the ways your guests experience your wedding.

Let's face it. Brides and grooms do NOT remember their wedding. It's PTSD (happy PTSD, but that's what causes the memory loss) and I think it's my job to put it all back together again. Including guests having fun and playing at your weddings. For many of the guests, they've traveled to Detroit, Michigan for your wedding. They've invested heavily in you (as you've done for countless other friends and family's weddings.

So why not honor all the family and wedding guests that came to your wedding by having photos of them participating in and enjoying the heck out of your day. You'll be so happy you have all these candid, spontaneous photos from your wedding day.

Feel free to check out the rest of my galleries and I hope you enjoyed reliving the guest experience from some of the Michigan weddings I've photographed.

Marci is awesome!

Marci was flexible, compassionate, understanding, kind, and comforting. We ended up getting married in my parents' backyard, and Marci was really nice about making the journey to their house, even though it was farther away than the original venue by an hour. We had only six "guests" at our wedding, and we weren't sure if it would be a bit awkward having a photographer there, since my husband and I are already pretty awkward. However, it wasn't awkward at all -- Marci was wonderful! She fit right in. She was light-hearted and professional, and she had a calm and positive presence throughout the day. Also, she had our photos ready only five days after our wedding! We ended up with countless amazing photos, and we were in awe of how many natural moments of joy and connection she captured. We had an excellent experience with Marci and would highly recommend her!
